Sophia Harber
Sophia Harber is an actor, director and teaching artist based in Brooklyn. She received her BA in theater and psychology from Sarah Lawrence College, with particular interest in dramatic and theatrical play. She was a student teacher at a Child Development Institute, where she submitted a conference paper titled “The Drama of Childhood” which details her extensive research in this area of study. Throughout undergrad Sophia immersed herself in all aspects of theater, including attending a semester-long acting conservatory at the British American Drama Academy, and directing a production of Shakespeare’s Macbeth that featured shadow puppetry and original music. Most recently, Sophia performed in an original play that was part of the International Human Rights Festival at The Tank in NYC. Sophia is an alum of Child’s Play NY, and is thrilled to now be continuing her joint passions as a teaching artist with the company all these years later!
