Sophia Harber Headshot

Sophia Harber

Sophia Harber is a multi-hyphenate artist based in Brooklyn. She has studied theater and directing at Sarah Lawrence college, the British American Drama Academy and the Stella Adler Studio of Acting. While attending Sarah Lawrence Sophia taught at the Early Childhood Center on campus, as well as the after school “Lunchbox” theater program. Sophia is the co-creator/ co-writer of Shrews, a three-part comedy web series that was filmed in NYC. Most recently, Sophia directed the first staged reading of Mollie Gordon’s “With the Lights Out” at the Rosen Studio at Playwrights Horizons. A few of Sophia’s favorite acting credits include Margret in Jenny Rachel Weiner’s “Horse Girls,” Sir Andrew in Shakespeare’s “Twelfth Night,” and Carol in Taylor Mac’s “Gary: A Sequel to Titus Andronicus.” Sophia believes deeply in the magic of theater, especially for children. She is committed to fostering her student’s love of imaginative play, and encourages them to grow into their boldest and most beautiful creative selves!
