Nick Fitzer
Nick Fitzer has been teaching with Child’s Play NY for over 6 years. He is a theatrical multi-hyphenate and youth arts educator dedicated to guiding students to their unique voice through self-reflection and artistic exploration. He holds a Master’s degree in Voice Performance from Indiana University’s Jacobs School of Music, and membership in both the National Association of Teachers of Singing (NATS) and Actors Equity Association (AEA). As a result of a genre hopping career, Nick is equally at home teaching both classical and contemporary commercial vocal and theatrical styles. Nick has directed dozens of plays and musicals and has designed arts education programs that emphasize creativity, confidence, and collaboration. His work as a singing actor has been praised by The Washington Post and New York Post among others. In addition to his work in the classroom, Nick actively produces concerts and cabarets. When he’s not teaching or directing, Nick enjoys making stop-motion films with his nephews, and continues to explore his own ever developing artistic self.
