Natasha Partnoy
Natasha Partnoy grew up in sunny San Diego, California, and moved to the East Coast to attend Yale University, where she studied theatre, film, and literature and received a BA in Humanities with distinction. While at Yale, Natasha taught acting to high school students through Yale Dramatic Association’s local outreach program, and performed and led workshops in improv and a cappella for students across the country with her groups Just Add Water and Whim ’n Rhythm. Natasha has also taught at San Diego Junior Theatre, the oldest continually running youth theatre in the country, and ArtsBridge Summer Programs, a preparatory conservatory for students applying for degrees in acting and musical theatre. She also tutors students privately in college essay and application preparation.
In addition to teaching, Natasha is a working actor and singer and has performed at The Old Globe, Williamstown Theatre Festival, 24 Hour Plays, The Muny, 92NY, and 14th Street Y, and in films at festivals across the country. She also collaborates with her partner and friends to stage original adaptations of classics through their company Eno River Players. Natasha hopes to leave her students empowered to use the tools of theatre making to lead whatever kind of creative life they choose, and to approach new communities and environments with curiosity and compassion. In her spare time, Natasha likes to read, go to old movies at BAM and Film Forum, and walk around discovering hidden corners (and ice cream shops) of the city!
