Michelle Sohn
Michelle Sohn is a Korean-American actress who was born and raised in Upstate New York. She moved to New York City to study Economics at NYU, but always knew she wanted to pursue a career in the arts. She has worked with some of NYC’s top acting coaches and has extensive training in improv and comedy. She has acted in television, film, theater, and countless commercials, and had the honor of becoming the first actress of East Asian descent to be cast in the NBC Diversity Showcase NY. Her television and film credits include Billions, Law & Order, Search Party, and Crashing. She is also featured in the film The King of Staten Island, starring Pete Davidson and directed by Judd Apatow—a film that was released on the day her first child was born. Her most important roles of all are being a wife and mother to her two young kids. Michelle is thrilled to combine her love of the arts with her passion for working with children through Child’s Play NY, and hopes that her students will find confidence, joy, and freedom in performing and acting. In her spare time, she enjoys biking around Brooklyn with her family. She is also working on becoming a better cook and gardener, and appreciates how the kitchen and her plants remind her that it’s okay to make mistakes, as long as you keep getting back up again. Proud member of SAG-AFTRA and The Actors’ Equity Association.
