Avery Pate

Avery Pate is a Texas raised and New York city based theatre and teaching artist who graduated Summa Cum Laude with a BA in Acting and Film & Screen Studies from Pace University.

As a performer and deviser, she gravitates towards women-led stories and enjoys diving deep into the complexities of the human psyche.

She first started studying teaching with Breakthrough Fort Worth, where she taught Literature and oversaw the acting club, and has worked as a nanny for many years. Her experience working with children and learning about education led her to pursue teaching artistry. Additionally, she has worked as the acting mentor at Spotlight Cast & Crew in Fort Worth, Texas to help students find and cultivate a creative process. The passion she has for working with young theatre makers through investigative play makes being on the team at Child’s Play NY a wonderful and rich piece of her artistic life.
