August 1 – 5 | Carroll Gardens

Come sing and dance to the rhythm of the pride lands!  The savannah comes to life as students play as animals, birds, fish and insects as they work toward an original re-telling of the Lion King! As the “cubs” go on a thrilling quest for the crown they’ll learn musical theater skills. Camp culminates in a movie premiere on August 8.

August 8 – 12 | Carroll Gardens

Explore the Wonderful World of Oz as we re-imagine the classic L. Frank Baum story. Red-Light-Green-Light takes us through a twister and into incredible lands. Get interviewed in a Munchkin talk-show about your special profession and how you really feel about the Witch. Embody the different physical lives of Scarecrow, Tin Man, and Lion. The Monday after camp, we’ll premiere our very own Oz movie online!

Extended day options are available at this location Monday-Friday, from 3p-5p. The fee for extended day is $50/day.

August 15 – 19 | Carroll Gardens

Adventure with us from the streets of In the Heights all the way down to Annie’s orphanage on the Lower East Side. Kids will dance like Sharks and Jets, play tricks on Miss Hannigan and give their regards to Broadway! Using theater games and improv kids will learn the plot and score from such shows as Annie, West Side Story, In the Heights and more, as well as develop their own mini plays using the classics as a springboard. Students develop their musicality and most importantly their creativity as they play inside these great NY-themed shows.

A movie of our work premieres virtually Monday after camp.

August 15 – 19 | Fort Greene

Walk through a magical door and find your own “Encanto” in this joyous musical camp. Theater games and improvs will have us becoming enchanted parts of the Madrigal house, playing “sneaky tag” through Bruno’s Tower, and healing ailments with delicious concoctions! We’ll use crafts of butterflies, pinwheels, and more as props in our new original show. Encanto music will underscore our playing and we will learn choreography and vocal techniques to bring the songs to life.

August 22 – 26 | Carroll Gardens

Students will bravely go “Into the Unknown” in this musical theater class that will have them singing and dancing their way into winter! Drawing inspiration from the original Snow Queen fairy tale as well as the popular films, kids will generate their own original script. Theater games and improvs will have them racing reindeer, getting lost (and found!) in the woods, building snowmen and belting out loud to unite the kingdoms! Their story and songs will be premiered in a movie the Monday after camp.

Here we goooo! Hop aboard the spinning tree house with Jack & Annie to find out what quests Merlin wants to take you on! Adventure through history and time and create your own stories alongside favorite characters. A movie of our adventures will premiere virtually the Monday after camp.

August 29 – September 2 | Fort Greene

Whose paw prints are those? Where did the bones in the museum go? Why are the subways running backwards? From Sherlock Holmes to Odd Squad, from Scooby Doo to Nancy Drew, kids get into the sleuthing spirit with stories, clues and (of course) magnifying glasses! Each class will be built around a mystery that our young detectives will work together to solve. Kids play interactively to make the literature come alive and we use a musical mash-up from movies and tv to highlight our escapades. Let the sleuthing begin! A movie of our adventures will premiere virtually the Monday after camp.
