Camps at Berkeley Carroll

Kids escape into fantastic realms this summer through great stories, creative movement and games galore as part of Berkeley Carroll Specialty Day Camps! Led by professional actors, they flex their imaginative muscles and learn theater skills that inspire self-confidence and community. Campers celebrate with a movie of their original scenes, music videos and games, premiering online the Monday after camp.

Children participate in swim, arts and crafts, and outdoor play, in addition to Child's Play NY activities.

Improvaganza

$725 Per Child

June 29-Jul 3, 2026

Yes…And! In this dynamic improv class, students learn the tools to think on their feet, listen and respond with wit, and be creative in the moment. We start each class with warm-ups, shaking out inhibitions, and then we move into games that foster collaboration. Finally we work toward a fully realized (and funny!) final show – no script necessary! Campers get practice being spontaneous, collaborative and hilarious while making something they can be proud of. Improvisation is not only a great part of the actor’s toolbox, it is a powerful social skill that gets kids trusting their instincts, shifting perspective, and most importantly having fun!
