Adventure Series at PS32

Kids unleash their imaginations and tap into their intrinsic sense of play in this vibrant afterschool theater program. The session is anchored around a monthly theme. They soar into magical realms, embark on ocean voyages and make heroic animal rescues. Theater games, improv, and sophisticated dramatic play support learning and meaningful connections with their peers. These classes help kids explore empathy, learn to collaborate and boost their self-esteem in a fun, joy-filled environment. Each day, students will be provided with a snack. Kids will also make daily crafts and art that inspire imaginative adventures and support their dramatic play.

Class is capped at 10 students and led by two Child’s Play NY teachers. PreK courses also have a support-staff from PS32.

This program is only open to PreK students attending PS32 for the 2022-2023 school year.

“My daughter Maisie has loved the afterschool programming hosted by Child's Play at PS32. She comes home raving about the experience and has even said she "likes afterschool more than regular school." The instructors seem to really tap into her creativity and sense of play. The Child's Play team shared some videos from the semester with parents, and Maisie was so proud to show us the different games and activities. The program worked well for us in that Maisie got to spend time with other pre-K students in her school, and we also liked how they spent time outdoors each day, weather permitting. Another positive aspect is that the program offers flexible pick-up times, which works very well for our family. ”
