High School Ensemble

Our high school ensemble takes challenging text to the next level in meaningful production classes. The rehearsals involve advanced acting technique training, with an emphasis on speech and voice, as well as physical transformation.

At the heart of it all, we ask our high school students to inspire each other with risk-taking, in-depth character explorations and working from a grounded sense of self. Plays are performed twice at the end of the semester.

Shakespeare Scene Class for High Schoolers

Shakespeare and Devised Scene Work

$470 For the Semester

Sundays Starting September 19

High School students engage in a scene study class that supports their craft as both performers and creators. They work on both comedic and dramatic Shakespeare material and in doing so, sharpen their skills at text analysis, character development and classical technique all while centering emotional truth. We get to the root of our character’s humanity and create a committed, passionate ensemble in the process. Additionally, unique and playful improvisation and playwriting exercises, yields original text that we develop in response to the classical pieces. Both the Shakespeare and the devised scenes are performed in a showcase at the end of the session.
