Children’s Birthday Parties that
Delight & Inspire

All parties are staffed by Child’s Play NY lead teachers – expert players and lovers of kids.

We staff all parties with a minimum of 2 teachers, and add more depending on your headcount. You don’t need to know an exact headcount in advance – that number is due the Monday before the party so we can staff accordingly!

We love discovering what your child loves most and helping design a party theme that will suit them best!

Popular themes for children turning 3-6 include Outerspace Explorers, Dragons & Unicorns, Superheroes and Under the Sea.

For kids turning 6-11, popular themes include Harry Potter, Greek Mythology and Improv.

You can tell us theme ideas you are thinking of, along with other things you’d like to share about your child: favorite books, films, songs and characters will help us plan a fully custom event full of things they love!

If you’re hosting an outdoor party, we can hold a rain date for you when we initially confirm your party. As we get closer, we can rebook for the rain date within 24 hours if the weather looks questionable.

We create parties for kids ages 3-11.

In-person parties are 75 minutes and start at $500 for up to 10 kids. The price scales as follows:
11-15 kids: $575
16-20 kids: $650
21-25 kids: $725

Due to the nature of our events, we cannot accommodate parties for more than 25 kids.

For in-person parties, we do our dramatic play and games for 75 minutes! If you’d like the teachers to be there for the the start of the party we can be – but we find that starting 15 minutes in generally works great!

Here is a sample schedule for a party from 1:00-3:00.

1:00-1:15 – Guests arrive and do a small craft that we suggest to you. This activity helps grounds kids and ties in the theme. It also is usually a better party favor and we even use them during our games. (Craft examples: super hero capes, decorated microphones, magical mirrors, etc)

1:15-2:30 – Child’s Play NY teachers inspire and delight with games and activities that make the party guests and the birthday kid super happy and engaged.

2:30-3:00 – You do food and cake and guests say good-bye!

We come to you! Our parties take place in your home, common room, favorite spot in the park or other space that you provide.

Siblings of the party guests, as well as the birthday kid, count towards the headcount unless they will be engaged in a separate activity. Babies and toddlers (up to 3 year olds) will not count, as our work is not developmentally appropriate for their participation.

It is important we can get an accurate headcount the Monday before the party to maintain proper ratios and celebrate your child the best we can!

We are passionate about tapping into kids imagination and play and do not rely heavily on external toys or costumes. That said, we have plenty of easy crafts we can suggest for the first few minutes of the party that can then be used as a prop during our play time. Occasionally, we do make suggestions for props to have on hand for our games!
