Kids get in touch with their inner “wild thing” and let free their dramatic imaginations using the animal kingdom as inspiration. Our adventures are based on classic stories like the Anansi legends and Aesop’s fables as well as contemporary tales like Circus Ship and Skippy Jon Jones. Storytelling through creative movement plays a key part in our adventuring. We use the orchestrations of “Carnival of Animals” by Camille Saint-Saëns as well as “Peter and the Wolf” by Prokofiev to explore character and make exciting discoveries about ourselves and our animal friends.
Warm-up your fairy gibberish, polish your unicorn horn, and get your dragon-fire ready! Join us in this enchantment-filled exploration of mythical beings where we use legends from around the world to create our original plays as magical creatures!
Help your favorite monkey escape from the zoo! Join the Circus Ship with a troupe of animal performers! Through theater games and improvisation, kids explore their inner Wild Thing. (Tails and tales provided)
What’s that up in the air? It’s a bird…its a plane…no, it’s…A Super Kid! Whether your powers make you fly, dance, or save the world, this class is for you. Through play and performance we will explore magical creatures and characters with super-abilities.
Grab your (imaginary!) goggles and join us as we become pirate princesses, sea dragons and schools of funny fish! Travel to the ocean’s depths on fantastical creatures and learn how to build your very own seashore! Campers create underwater worlds through improvisation, theater games and creative movement.
From the land of the dinosaurs to outer space, we adventure across enchanted worlds and even travel through time! Join us as we use theater to explore cultures and characters in history, science and nature.
Please note this camp runs Monday – Thursday.
